Just recieved this note, so mark your calanders people................ The plans for the Jensen Nationals East are starting to come together. As was stated last year, it will be in Springfield Illinois. An easy to get to small city that is the capital of Illinois. Much history and many Abraham Lincoln sites including the new Lincoln Museum. The event will be June 7-10 staying a the Ramada Limited. We expect room prices to be small city priced in the range of $75.00 per night. This is still being negotiated. We will keep you informed as plans come together. Brett, It already sounds like a great time!!. I can hardly wait to see everybody again. But....... I really am going to need a co-pilot for the Funkana. How about it Brett? and of course I will not devulge any secrets which helped us win the thing in 2005. ( of course i can be bought out quite easily) JOHN

John, I believe all who were there for the 2005 Philly Funkhana would attest that you can be bought, it was that raising your pants leg and winking at all the Jensen driver's that gave you away .................... hee hee hee :>) Seriously, do you have your car back yet and how has it turned out, any pict's. If your driving out to Springfield next year with it, come thru upstate NY and maybe we can get a caravan going, there's a bunch of people that come to mind if they went would be driving close by, Mitch Ware, Tim Knowlton, Jeff and Laura Peterson just to name a few ...................... and getting there is half the fun. More info Greetings Jensen Enthusiasts - Plans are coming together for next summer's gathering. The event will be in Springfield, Illinois from June 7th to 10th, 2006. We will be staying at the Ramada Limited (http://www.springfieldramada.com) for $72.00 per night including a breakfast buffet and pool. Please contact the Ramada direct and mention Jensen Car Group when making your reservations (217-523-4000). We are sending this by email to everyone whose email address we have and via regular mail to everyone else. Our preliminary schedule is: Wednesday - Horseshoe/Ponyshoe Night -An introduction to a local specialty found only in the Springfield area. Thursday – Several tours to take at your leisure Route 66 sites Downtown Lincoln sites - Museum, Lincoln's Neighborhood, Law Office, etc. Dana-Thomas House - a Frank Lloyd Wright home State buildings Shopping, crafts, antiques Afternoon Car Show at the concert at the Old Capital Friday – Land of Lincoln Rally/Tour Visit various Lincoln sites outside of the downtown area. Barbeque/Fish Fry Saturday – Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Takes a Buggy Ride Funkhana Banquet Auction The web site and registration form are in the design stages - we will let you know when it's up.
