What's my Jensen Healey worth?
In general, a running, functional Jensen Healey or Jensen GT in California goes from $6,000 to as high as $40,000 for exceptional, high quality restorations. Very high quality, unmolested, stock, low mileage examples will tend to be in the $9,000 - $18,000 range. Non-runners go from $100 to about $2,500. High-end examples may have Lotus 907 engine performance modifications, (2.2 liter stroker crankshafts, high compression pistons, performance cams, 45mm Dellortos) paint and interior upgrades (custom wood, custom leather, etc.) besides being in show or near show condition.

In general, deduct for other, non-Lotus engine conversions. The car's value for upgrades will weigh heavily on the tastefulness of the upgrades. Again, deduct considerably for badly modified examples (i.e.: aluminum dashboards, extensive use of non-English components or Ferrari badges/tail lights on the back).

Jensen Healey for sale

For Sale 1974 Jensen Healey- Great vintage English convertible! I have owned this car for 17 years and is a great little car. British Racing Green certainly turns heads still after 46 years! Recently serviced at Mels in San Marcos- new master cylinder and rear brakes/ seals, new alternator, new turn switch, new radio, new cam belt, rebuilt stromberg carbs. Runs great and looks great, however, it does have some scratches and dings. It was a salvaged title when I purchased it, previous owner said it was rebuilt from a junk yard. Things that need to be remedied: Tach does not work, I bypassed the heater (was leaking) but I have a rebuilt one (included) that I have not installed. Vinyl top is a 6 out of 10, but works well- I never put it up and she lives in the garage. Interior is 8 of 10 and no cracks on the dash. Come take a look! Mileage says 62,120 but I cannot verify. #19568 $7,950- OBO Please contact me for more info, Pete 805-451-5507 (2/23/2021).

The body is not concours but very-good condition. It is meant to be enjoyed and is very presentable at car shows with numerous upgrades that incorporate the improvements in chassis and engine technology: The chassis was repainted in 2010 with a two stage urethane paint that is a good match with the original mustard yellow color. The cooling system was upgraded with a larger capacity aluminum radiator. The original Lucas distributor was bypassed and replaced with a high energy EDIS4 cranked fired ignition, Megajolt controller and PC interfaced for ignition advance mapping and real time ignition data. The engine horsepower is now estimated to have increased from the original 145 hp to 170+ with better torque in the mid and high range.
