The Bilstein shocks from JHPS lands at almost the exact same price as Spax shocks bought locally in Norway, so what should I choose?

Does anyone have experience with Spax lately?

Hi Joachim,

i believe the spax seem to give a slightly higher ride. I personally went with the Bilsteins...they are really unriveled. They come at a price though.

cheers

As I said in my first post, the Bilsteins are not more expensive (for me, delivered at my door step) than the Spax shocks.

I take it you recommend buying Bilsteins then? :-)

I used the Spax on my old JH for many years, they were ok, a little bouncy. I don't sell these because so many people complained about the variable quality. Some of the Spax shocks are borderline junk, other didn't seem quite so bad.

The Bilstein shocks are a much better product to say the least and are much safer, they are in a class by themselves. They are made to rigorous specifications in Germany and they are 100% consistent. There is no better shock absorber for the JH in the world. Bilsteins will most likely last the life of the car.

Bilsteins are now ordered.

I am getting SuperPro bushings from the same place in England you got yours, Erik. (http://www.revingtontr.com) Should I get KIT5371K (£298) or KIT5371K-RG (£244)?

If I'm not mistaken, there will be no need to change shock absorber bushes since I am changing the shocks anyway, and my car doesn't have anti-roll bars (yet), so I am considering the cheaper option.
