I've noted since I redid my suspension that I get a whirring noise from the rear end when I let off the gas, none when accelerating. My memory says that this was there before I did all the work but not as prevalent (maybe because all the other noises from the suspension have disappeared now).
I did disassemble and clean the rear end and was very careful to put all spacers etc. back in the same place, but this could be a gear meshing problem.
Just wondering if anyone else had any ideas before I yank the rear axle back out. The manual gets quite complicated in setting up all the torques and clearances. Anyone else done it? Is the "crushable" spacer still available?
