My Jensen has been sitting in my garage for weeks without being driven. I came home last night and opened the garage door to find the left side blinkers going. I turned on the car and it still blinks. I was thinking the blinker relay has shorted out. Any other thoughts?

Check your column mounted blinker switch to see if it has not released, work it back and forwards & up & down, might just be sticking, if not that then the fourway flasher switch could also be a culprit, try working that as well. If they check out fine then most likely the flasher unit as you mentioned. Brett Last edited on 03-01-2016 02:26 pm by Brett Gibson JH5 20497 |

I switched the 4 way flashers on and off and that stopped it. In the past I have noticed the right blinkers are slow to start blinking when signaling for a turn. I will pull the 4 way flasher switch apart and clean the contacts inside. I ordered a blinker relay as well.
