Just curious,Does anyone else have a toggle switch in their trunk? Any ideas what it would be for? Thanks, Alan 14858 |

I have owned three now and never seen a toggle switch. This is true for 74 and earlier only as that is all I have had. |

jcdean, thanks for the info. It seems like an aftermarket add on,so I'll try to get an answer from the previous owner. If I get an answer,I'll reveal the mystery! Thanks again, Alan 14858 |

I can't imagine what a toggle switch in the trunk would be for..... maybe... a 2nd fuel pump switch..... an ignition kill switch...... warp drive switch? ;) I would love to know the answer |

Here is the test: Flip the switch. If something happens it is an add on. If nothing happens and it appears broken then it is OE. |

Best way to find out what it's for is to follow the wires to what they are hooked up to, my money is on the fuel pump someones idea in theft prevention. Brett |

Here's the update. I connected the wires,in the engine compartment, that were cut.I flipped the switch and BAM, my car turned into a GT!lol Ok,actually nothing happened and no one but Brett has given any reason that the switch could be there! BTW,I kinda like that idea Brett had about shutting off the fuel pump for theft prevention! Happy summer JH driving to all! Alan 14858 |
