Hello, I've recently acquired a '73 JH that is in need of restoration. Both rear brakes were frozen and when I finally freed the drums I found they will both need replacing. I know the JHPS store, Delta, and Martin Robey sell replacements, but I wanted to see if replacements were available anywhere else (preferably at a lower price). I know the JH shared parts with Vauxhall UK and certain parts with the TR-6, will those drums work? Thanks in advance, Mark Turner Waterford, VA, USA |

Those drums have been NLA on and off for years. It's an odd ball part not shared with any common stuff. Recently they all come from the same small factory in the UK. They produce them in small batches, as you might imagine, and that's why they cost so much. If you're looking to save money, I would be on the lookout for a good used set that you can get machined. |
