IMHO, ideally you should run a new wire from ~the ignition key to the coil. That way, you avoid running the current to the coil through a crummy old multipin connector TWICE. Good point, Joachim. I'm just presenting the easiest way to go about it. Though, if I remember a few posts back he was speaking of keeping the resistor wire in place so using the existing connectors might still be the way to go. My main point (and I keep seeing it come up here, asking how to remove the instrument panel) is that the tach comes out of the instrument panel so easily. I just hate to see someone spending half a day to remove the instrument panel when it's a 5 minute job to pop the tach out. Last edited on 12-02-2014 04:11 pm by answerman |
