As the subject line says I am looking for help with replacing the throttle cable.

To be exact I am looking to find out what the easiest way to get at the cable attachment on the pedal. It is locked into place with a small clip which I could easily remove with a long small screwdriver but it appears there would be no chance of getting it back on as I cant get my hands in the little space of the pedal box.

Ideas??

Long handle needle nose pliers, had the same issue so went and bought a set amazing how much easier it is to reach that stuff with them.

Did you go at it from through the firewall or up through the floorboard in the pedal box?

Thanks for the insight!!

Went at it from under but removed the steering wheel first for the extra space, going at it thru the engine bay is easier but it means distrubing the pedal box seal something I dont like to do..........

Thanks for the help! I got it replaced and everythging works great now.

I must have looked funny doing it though.

I had my legs over the headrest and head down by the pedal box.

Now onto the steering column bushing. (That one does not look fun)

As for the steering bushing actually the job is not that bad, remove the shaft from the steering wheel to the rack out of the way at the firewall, undo the two small screws and remove the plate that holds the cheap plastic crap bushing.

Now if you bought a Delta plastic replacement bushing as I did take it to a machine shop and have them fab it out of brass and install that one otherwise at some point you will be doing this job all over again down the road.

Hope this helps.  Brett
