I can't find the timing mark on the pulley. The timing pointer is there but doesn't look like either shown in the manual. Does someone have a picture? Thanks Steve

Here's a photo I just took. This applies to engines #2760 and up (earlier engines are similar but IIRC the pulley mark is on the front face). Sometimes the mark on the pulley gets filled with grime, and when that occurs degreasing is in order. In the photo, the timing is about 4° BTDC. The pointers are at 10° increments so the left-hand one is 30° BTDC. Attachment: timing marks - late engines.jpg (Downloaded 68 times)

Thanks Mark. The timing cover is coming off today so maybe I can see what's going on in there. My pulley looks quite different but the marks are the same. I think it is on backwards as the narrow part is forward on my car. Have a nice day Steve
