Converting 1973 to 5 speed Getrag...couple questions: (1) anybody got a pic of how they dealt with the transmission support being shifted ~3" from 4 speed location? (2) Is it simplest to install the bell housing and then the transmission? |

On one of my cars I just positioned the bracket where it needed to be, braced it to hold it in position and then drilled new holes for new bolts. Tack welded the bolt heads in place from the top. I have yet to remove the transmission separately so don't know the answer to that. Hopefully someone else will chime in. |
