Hi I am exchanging my 2.0 907 engine with a later 2,2 907 engine. My question is tabour the extra CW connection stud I have on the new engine on the rear right of the cylinder head. Am i supposed to connect this stud to the Cabin heater? On the old engine the Cabinheater was connected to a stud on the Inlet manifold ( Stromberg) New engine is using Dellortoes, and that manifold do not have the CW connection for the Cabin heater. one more photo in next post BR kim Attachment: FullSizeRender-2.jpg (Downloaded 128 times) |

Hi "Barthol" Please see page 30 of the attached. On Lotus 907 engines later than spec 3, they moved the water outlet from the back of the inlet manifold to the rear of the cylinder head, in order to address a pre-detonation issue they were having on cylinder 4. I believe this outlet should be connected to the heater. The other heater hose connection is to a t-piece off the bottom hose just behind the fan. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Nigel http://www.lotusbits.com/improving_your_lotus.pdf |

Hi Nigel, This was as suspected, thanks a lot for the confirmation. BR Kim |
