Howdy All, I am a newb working on 15638. During my engine breakdown to fix a rod knock, I may have found the problem. The oil pickup screen was clogged with a bunch of junk and fell apart when I touched it. I guess some of the junk that it was filtering got passed the screen since it was not attached and blocked some of the oil passages. I am doing a complete engine overhaul but I have not been able to source a new oil pickup tube. Delta mentioned they are no longer available. I am hesitant to re-use this one but if necessary I will also need to re-connect the screen. Does anyone have any idea what I should use. Will epoxy work? Do I need to braise it? Should I wait till I find a replacement? Any and all comments are appreciated. I tried to attach a picture but it seems to be too big. http://web.me.com/darren_fransella/Jen/Engine_Disassembly.html#40
