Yes, I fitted a clutch from a toyota celica, this fits the splines on the w-58,(drilled flywheel for pressure plate), clutch is a little bigger than original, i did convert to a hydraulic clutch master and slave cylinder as the lotus excel was hydraulic although others have done the clutch cable as original, also had to have made a pilot bearing, and rework transmission mounts on back of trany. also had to make a custom drive shaft.

All in all, this in my opinion is a great upgrade.

Listed under chassis parts? That would be why I didn't find it... lol!
The year that's listed is for the Excel, would you use the same year w58 as excel?

What i used was a 1986 1/2 toyota supra mark 11 non turbo, that way the location of the shifter is correct,

Can you please provide some more details about exactly which Toyota Celica clutch you used? I recently got a the right bellhousing and a W58 transmission and I am trying to piece together the other bits.

Is it possible to find a 8.5 inch clutch disc I can use with the original JH four speed or five speed pressure plate that will fit the splines of the Toyota W58?

What I used was a clutch and pressure plate from a 81-85 toyota celica, 8 7/8" with a  21 spline hub, had the flywheel drilled and balanced to mount the clutch to flywheel.

I believe you could have a custom clutch disc made, i did  check and cost was about the same as disc and pressure plate for toyota.  the toyota is a bit larger than the jensen, and the one i have has alot more clamping lbs the the original.  i got a 6 puck racing setup and am experiencing some clutch chatter, that i don't like.

So do you think the clutch chatter is because of the type of disc you are using or what?

Not sure, but may have been a problem when installing transmission, as did not bolt up right away, and was left hanging overnight, just hanging from clutch disc and this may have caused the disc to  bend a little.
