Two weeks ago, my clutch cable broke and I was about 1 mile from home and pushed it into first gear to make it home. I replaced the cable this weekend and thought I was ready to go again. Wrong. After adjusting the clutch tension, it was still much to easy to depress the clutch pedal and I cannot engage the clutch once I start the car. I looked in the clutch window when and it looks like the fork is engaging the pressure plate. Where do I go from here? New clutch? Steve Rock Hill, SC |

Steve Have you been able to work this out yet ? My only thought on this is that maybe the clutch fork pins are not properly seated in the T.O.bearing groove which could allow the T.O. to move forward but not enough to engage the splines properly . I have a question for you . I broke my clutch cable and now that the replacement has arrived I cannot see how to get access to the clevis pin on top of the clutch pedal . Did you have to remove the pedal box ? |

The easiest way is to remove the pedal box. You don't have to pull it out very far for access to the pin, but it is alot easier than going at it from below. Ron Mau 16367 |
