I paid £240 + VAT for the full set of SuperPro bushings, the kit include all bushings except swaybar and shock absorber bushings.

JH 20163 instorage for years body excellent except for dent rear wing.   Mustard color with black interior.   Engine #t7502-113322 running condition but needs valve cover gaskets.  47000 miles 5 speed car with both tops . I need to repair the brakes just purchased  it on 10-10-08.  Date of manufacture 2-24-75 car is in eastern kentucky.

Incredibly, you can get the SuperPro bushings at the Club Store for about the same price, minus the VAT. Shipping to USA address is 2-3 days.

Body is a combination of at least 3 JH's. It is coming together very nice. Replaced the front bushings and all the shocks.

New engine will be  Buick 215, 4 barrel engine with a 5 speed behind it.

May be ready for the road this summer.

I have JH #20105 engine #T75.02.11251.  Malaga Blue with Tan and black interior. has been sitting for 20 years with 60K miles on the odometer. I bought it from a friend who bought it new. It has been repainted once and the interior is original and in very good condition. 2 tops, with the factory hardtop. Original wheels. Lots of deferred maintenance to catch up on.

I am now the proud owner of 10628, and am in the process of moving it from San Diego to Castle Rock, Colorado.  I purchased it from the original owner, who kept meticulous repair records back to day-1 -- yes, there is quite the stack.  Other than the Audiovox casset/radio (installed in 1981 for $140.00) she is completely stock.

This is a project car for my daughter and I.  She's shown a knack for and interest in mechanics, and this should be a great learing experience.  We'll see what happens the first time she gets her hands greasy!  Plus, I've always wanted one, so that works out great,doesn't it? 

Yellow, very good original condition, 99,200 miles on the clock.  4-spd trans completely rebuilt 12 years ago (but only 2,000 miles ago!).  Shifts great.  Engine runs like a top, head rebuilt with new cams 20 years ago (30,000 miles ago).  Brakes, though, are almost completely non-functioning -- made for a fun test-drive. 

I'm going to completely go through the braking and wheel system, rather than just making it functional.  TR6 MC, TR7 calipers, rotors, brake lines, bearings, etc. on order.  Once I get that sorted out we'll see what else she needs.  Hopefully not too much as the plan is to enjoy it this spring and summer and then go to town on it over the fall and winter.  Bushings definitely.

I can't say that I am crazy about the yellow color. I love the way Jasper looks, so I might borrow from her a little...

Mark in May of 2007. Drove from LA to it's current home in
Rockville, Maryland. Got a little hot driving through the Mojave,
but didn't overheat. Wonderful trip. Never put the top up.
White w/ black interior. 142,000 miles, very good condition.

We in scrutineering in he SCCA recomend that you safety wife the butterfly nuts on the top of those webers, a little fire prevention thing.

Just thought that I would add my JH to the list. Model # 1110 sn 13714. had it for just under a year, battled the rust issuesrebuilt the Carbs and fixed what otheres had Murfed . Still hammering on it and tomarrow it gets a new muffler. The DB metet reads 188 standing next to it on the trailer with out a muff.

I've got #16617 with motor B74047234 in it and a spare motor  B72111008 out of a '73 that I sent to the bone yard with too much rust too even get into. 16617 was built in May 1974 and is currently undergoing a complete rotiserie restoration and is almost complete. Looks great but some things and parts just don't want to go back on without a good fight...glad I don't need to drive it to work on Monday ! I'm up in B.C. but mine won't be ready for the ABFM next weekend in Vancouver unfortunately, hope to see some JH's at the show.

I am the 4th owner and have owned the car for just a 3 months.  The 2 owners before me had the car for just 2 years between them.  The original owner, I am told, purchased the car in Southern California.  He did not like the factory blue and had the dealer paint the car a copper-brown colour.   The trunk, hood and door jambs were all painted, and the second owner repainted the engine compartment.

The car is in great shape and has been a blast to drive

I purchased JH 13504 in April 1999 with 51,000 miles showing on the clock. The car had been sitting for 15 years when I purchased her. I sold her in June 2009. The car is in good orginal like condition. The current owner is in Cumming, Georgia USA. The current owner is the fourth owner. As best we can determine, 13504 has always been a Georgia car.

I purchased my 1974 JH #15120 in Rochester, NY in June of 1988.  It is running well on a 5 year old restoration.  I believe the car at some point spent time in Maryland.  The engine has been replaced. The exterior is yellow with black interior.

We restored a Blue GT #30431 that we purchased at the 2003 East Nationals in Ellicottville, NY.  It too is running with, I believe the original engine.

I have five Jensen Healeys in order of purchase with informtion to follow some day on spare engines and numbers:

19741 JH5 purchased from original owner in 1983, underhood fire in 1984, restored by 1993, driven off and on until 1999, stored for 10 years, 2009 current tags and back on the road after brakes, carbs, etc. 90K actual. Changed from yellow to red in 84-93 restoration. Otherwise all original including engine.

17281 MKII purchased in 1993, not running and partially disassembled. My first attempt at a ground up restoration. Completly disassembled and sat covered in my drive until 2005 when I took bare body shell to Huntington Beach, CA for media blast and paint and body. Car is in my garage, Corona, CA and about 50% complete. Mild engine modifications, suspension upgrades, etc.

12661 MKI purchased in 2006, not running but fairly complete. Stored in Norco, CA with non-op. Partially disassembled and has been a great parts car for now.

16882 MKII purshased in 2006, not running but very complete. Completly dissasembled in 2006 and body shell sent to HB for media blast and Paint and body work. This car intended for VARA. Engine completed in 2008 with many modifications.

A13607 MKI/MKII purchased in 2008, fairly complete with spare engine. Pulled sub-frame w/engine and rear end assembly. Engine rebuilt to stock and suspension, etc. powder coated and ready for reassembly. Stored with non-op in Norco, CA.

Just came across this thread......must have been dozin' so I'll throw my hat into the ring with the specs and a bit of the provenance.

JH # 18376

"born on date" 10-15-1974

Condition...good..daily driver

Location..Goleta, CA.

Color...black with tan interior

Odometer reading...70,306

    I bought the car 13 years ago from the original owner with 44,000 miles reading on the odometer.I did what seem to be standard Jensen-Healy repairs with the replacing the radiator with a new 3 core ( never over-heats now) and gas tank repair(Gas Tank "ReNu"...  recomended, no problems). Upgraded the suspension with Heavy Duty springs and shocks with sway bars. Makes a noticable difference. The car has the big black rubber bumpers, which I love.They actually proctect the car! Running the stock Strombergs, however may upgrade to Dells some day.

  An interesting piece of this cars history... When I purchased the car there was a tow ball welded to the rear bumper (I removed it).This car was originally sold in Ohio.A lady  bought it off the showroom floor and shortly thereafter she met a man with a Lotus Esprit ( I think the cars had something to do with them meeting). They got married , moved out to Southern California and they towed the Lotus behind the Jensen across the country. Can you imagine? What a sight THAT must have been! They decided to retire to the ski country in Colorado and put the Jensen up for sale, which is how I aquired it 13 years ago. Fun car to buzz around town in and I am surprised on how reliable they can be for and "older" British sports car.I find it equally surprising how much they sold for new.$7,000-7,500 was a lot of coin for a car back in the early seventies,almost double what an American "muscle car"cost back then. I like having a car that you can "tinker" with. Along with my '59 MBZ 220S, they are my "hobby" cars.
