Vin# 19032

JH 5 speed

Engine# B 74 10 9910

Very good condition mechanically. Pretty much stock with a few upgrades. Running strombergs, electronic ignition, three core radiator and other misc. items.

Body is in great shape. The car has rubber bumpers. I am running 13" panasports.

I changed the interior from the original vinyl to cloth about five years ago and what an improvment that was. Great for summer driving in the midwest.

Milage is 43,000

Mfg date on door: 28/11/74

Located in Wentzville, Missouri

Hope this info helps.

Thanks for the great site and people

Mike

Mine is a 1974 MK II (4-speed).

Vin #1140 - 14011 (RHD, imported from the UK to the US in 2005).

Engine #A73 08 3836 (Original)

Engine #B74 12 10808 (Spare)

The car has 51K miles; hard to believe, I know, but the documentation dating back almost 29 years supports it.  Recent mechanical rebuild completed, including 2.2 engine conversion.  Car is likely to be painted in early 2007.

Located in Laguna Niguel, CA.

I'll list the ones I stripped for parts first:

GT 30249 completely rusted out but it only had 26,000 miles on it I will be putting the engine and trans into my son's Jensen Healey.

GT 30355 again rusted out completely but parts were taken by Dan Eiland and what was left was trailered to my house by Frank Schwartz and then it was stripped. It had a four speed trans in it so someone switched out the 5-speed.

GT 30420 this one I have regrets about stripping because it should have been saved so when I die and go to heaven I will have to make some excuse to the Jensen brothers about why I stripped this one. It only had 17,000 miles on it! Don't bother asking about the engine or trans on this one because I am saving these for me. Need any other GT parts? Ask me.

JH 13363 Could have been a saver too but I chopped it up, OK so then I have to make 2 excuses to the Jensen brothers!

I will be listing the others that I have at a later date.

JH 14966 RHD, up until Rick Willard got his RHD this one seemed to be the only one in the States. It is the mustard yellow but was repainted a close match up to the original color. I think I will get it repainted the orginal color and use it for the 2007 car show circuit and perhaps sell it in the fall. It starts and stops on a dime and doesn't give any change back.

JH 19832 Black and bought it on Ebay thinking it would be a 5 speed when it arrived it had a 4 speed in it, it will be going to my son because it has a great roll bar and if my son is like the old man and has a bit of a lead foot he'll need it. See GT 30249 the engine and trans will go into this JH and after a nice paint job should be a nice little road car for him.

JH 14487 4-speed, Blue needs restoration California car so not too bad in the rust department haven't even had the time to start it but engine spins OK

JH 15202 4-speed Red Missouri car bascially same condition as one listed above.

JH 14475 4-speed Red Virginia car runs great but needs semi-restoration some rust issues buy pretty solid car.

JH 15163  4-speed Red Ahh, my baby has Dellorto 45's electronic ignition. Will probably be buried in this one. Still get a thrill everytime I look at it. I love this car.

JH 11735 4-speed Moss Green was first JH I owned back in the 70's don't presently own this one but if you know anything about it please tell me. I beat the hell out of this car when I was a youngster redlining it in every gear and never let me down. Drove it through 2 Chicago winters without having a garage and it started every time. Who sez Jensen Healeys are undependable?

White/ext;Tan/int. 1974 Vin#18849, engine#B7410 9816, door tag states date of mfg. as 01/11/74, odom reading of 93712 in reasonable good shape

Vin#15893, engine#B7405 6219 bought to get a spare engine and body panels and was pleasantly surprised to find the po had purchased many, many, many new parts for an anticipated resto job that was cut short due to health issues. My crystal ball is kind of cloudy right now, but I think I can see a completion of the resto when I hang up my shingle, or maybe building a rocket ship with the spare motor and 18849.

1974 Jensen Healey Vin 14522

Engine B7311 4591

Spare  B7303 2398

Bought on 10/07/06 in need of transmission, exhaust, steering shaft, and a myriad of electrical & minor mechanical issues.

After several hundred $$$ to Delta Motorsports and lot of searching on ebay & Craigslist, I've been using as a daily driver.

So far I can't see how I got along all these years without a JH!!

Chris

74 1110 14289 yellow -

Car was repainted at some point, and still yellow.  The floors are pretty bad off, poor fiberglass job, but it works.  Car has all the AC parts although I won't be needing them.  Currently has about 45k miles on it.  Runs strong and has some Dell's coming right now for it.  Needs the odds and ends as most do.  Getting new clutch, pressure plate, and real seal now, and should be ready come the spring.

Here is the fun part and any help is appreciated.

The engine number is B74 10 9632.  I know it is not the matching engine, and have no idea what car it came from so miles are unknown.  It does have electronic ignition, K&N filters.

VIN 16709 74 4-speed Bright Yellow

Second owner since 1979. Took it apart to replace rusty rockers (rusty everything really) in 1985. Had kids. Back on road in 1996 and a true daily driver since.

Built it with plan to do track days. Roll bar, Turn 6 sway bars, delta springs, poly bushings, Spax shocks, 3-row, Yoko 205-60 AVSs. It was pre-internet so I didn't know I couldn't use the new 86 912 long block I bought from a guy in Detroit. (The subframe modifications required to install it were no big deal.) Caddy used the 912 head for the Northstar engine development program,  so I had WCR prep my original with a mild port job and their SS ex valves. Have reground cams and the adjustable half moon belt sprockets. Used Weber 45s as I always wanted a car with Webers and have found them just fine during the 25,000 miles I've used them (contrary to many other opinions). Use Crane CDI, an S&S header, a gear starter and a 3-quart Accusump.

In 2000 my trans started popping out of 3rd and I replaced it with a low mileage trans I bought from my friend Chicago Joe Mazurk. (Thanks again Joe. ) I commute from Chicago to Kansas City-about 600 miles. Had a rear wheel bearing turn to dust in Mexico--Mo that is. Knew it was going so I had a spare rear end in the passenger seat. Got it swapped for $250. Not bad at all considering I was totally at their mercy. That was the first time anyone else had ever worked on the car.

10 years after building the car I finally got it on a track (Heartland Park) in Topeka Kansas and have done about a dozen track days since. Huge, huge fun keeping up with mostly 30 year newer cars. My car is still mechanically very sound, but the rust has returned significantly. With the paint and body work costing as much as buying another nice one, I'm really torn. Can't have two, and can't see putting more into paint than the car is worth in total. I'm glad our cars are underappreciated though. Anyone have a nice rust free body in need of a drive train?

Scott Robinson
