Data should include 5 digit VIN, condition, engine number, and location.

Also list any parts cars and spare engine numbers.

Example:

Spare engines B7306-3280 and B7404-6951

(Thanks to Kurt Housh for getting this started)

Jensen-Healey 1140/10772

Built 5th Dec., 1972, first registered for road use 12th Dec., 1972. Was used as a company car by Jensen, it appears its first user was Ian Royal, the Parts & Service Manager.

Engine No. 72 05 0100,  not listed on originality certificate from Martin Robey, but most likely a factory replacement. This engine smokes heavily and will be replaced by a rebuilt engine in the coming year.

Currently Red exterior/Black interior. Originally Mustard/Black, seems to have been re-sprayed entirely, perhaps by factory when engine replaced?

Generally in good condition except for the engine. It drives well and is registered for road use, after having been laid up from the mid-1990s through 2004 (I think), I purcahsed the car this September and am the sixth owner. Current mileage is just over 30K, and seems correct.

The car is present located in Glasgow, Scotland.

Come on people. I know we have more than 10 cars.

The purpose of this exercise is to provide data for Richard Calver on survival rates. The current assumption is that only 8% of Jensen Healeys survive.

Just rolling it from dry storage into the shop for a winter project.  PO's stalled project with new fenders and floors that has been sitting for at least 20 years based on the rotted tires.

VIN 15375

Don't know the engine number because I never had the need to know it.  The engine is stock except for Dells and Pertronix.  Owned since new so I know the original color was buttercup and the interior was black.  Any electrical system changes I take full responsiblilty for.  No hardtop.  Car has been garaged since new.  Had dreaded rust at rear of doorway repaired and the whole car stripped and repainted two years ago.  Also rebuilt door panels, replaced carpeting, and a million other things.

Was member of AJO many years ago and have most of the White Lady issues.

Also replaced all front end bushings last year - big difference.  Runs well, lots of fun.  No-one knows what it is.

39000 original miles.  Drive it to work when the weather is nice.

19444,  all original except crane ignition and Delco single wire alternator. Don't have engine number, but is the rope seal  style.  Original home was Green Bay Wisconsin (lawyer)  now in Ormond Beach. Florida.  Was yellow, now red/black with bone colored seats.  Fair condition.  Pics in Florida cars.

Dan

08/20/07        found a typo in the serial number  .  The actual serial number on the door plate is 11944
