Hey that's Alice's, it's just south of San Francisco. Been there many times with my Healey, best twisty roads around the Santa Cruz mountains. I always get the Kobe burger.

BTW my JH is

Chassis code is 10777

Engine code reads B74 12 10 822

It's a 73 with a 74 engine.

Looks like you have the original license plate as well. That's pretty cool that the car stayed in the family since new. Near as I can tell I'm the third owner of 19661.

Oops, should have replied to post in this thread instead of making a new one...
VIN #20158, not sure on engine # but it is reportedly the original one.
Car is running and in pretty good shape overall.  30,000 miles.  Color orange with tan interior.  Bought it in Iowa and am in process of shipping it to Anchorage, Alaska.

VIN 12383 now resides in Wilmington, NC. The engine number is B73032066 and I think it is the original. It is red with black interior and a replacement tan top. It runs well and is in about B+ condition. I bought it from someone in Greenville, NC and he told me the car came from Texas.

1974
Vin 18304
Engine B74 11 10066
Yellow w/ black interior

Very good condition now in Chesterfield, VA

Door plaque reads build date: 8 10 74, PO replaced the plaques. Not sure how accurate they are. In Britain I believe they write their dates opposite of us? So it was built in October with an engine made in November? It must not be the original block?

14438 - Red Sloth
16703 - YeloDog

Both based in Warsaw, Poland

Looking for history on 14438. Previous owner in 2005 was RC Smith, who at the time also owned 15517.

No history. Engine (46 Webers, cams, pistons) and suspension have work. New paint and interior. Nice, fun car. Fast? I have a 991.2 Carrera S, so in comparison, no. Still fun.

Howdy from Montana! New member, new to Jensen Healey/JHPS.

Barn find, Zero rust, slightly modified-Dellorto 45's, headers, Crane 3000 ign, Spax, sway bars, covered roll bar, 5 point harness... still discovering!

Build Date: 22-12-1974
VIN: 19628
Engine: D 907 E 0050Y (? number on side of block)
Color: Red, black interior
Miles: 65, 692

Located in Billings, MT Just rebuilt the Dellorto's, remove and clean entire fuel system, rebuilding brake master cylinder (safety first!) Curious if any is familiar with this Jensen's history?

gswords3,

Great find, congratulations. My VIN is 19661 so our cars are pretty close.

Your best source of car history will be the seller and any paperwork that accompanied the sale. When I purchased mine I wish I would have taken time to talk about the history of the car with the seller, I think he could have provided some good history on the car.

Using the paperwork, mostly expired registrations, I was able to piece together a partial history. Also you can try the DMV but usually they aren't very helpful, Maybe the Montana DMV will be different.

Hi everyone.

New owner of JH 19372, Stromberg carbs, haven't been able to get engine SN yet. Southern california car. PO had owned it for many years and got it in trade from someone living in the desert. Unable to get in touch with that PO.

Car is driveable, but in rough condition, Mostly straight body, a few spots rusted through. Needs entirely new interior, compete chassis strip and repaint. Drivers side floor gone. Leaks oil like a sieve.

I've always had a soft spot for British roadsters, and this one just sort of fell into my lap. I'm old enough to be thinking about retirement, but not old enough (or wealthy enough) to actually do it so this is going to be my project for the next few years as I ramp down my work hours and ramp up my me hours.

I know I'm going to put way more money into this than it'll be worth. That's not the point. It'll be fun, and best of all my wife is on board with fixing it up.

First up is brakes - they are leaking and I can't trust them. rebuilding or replacing the master cylinder, will probably replace all the brake lines.

Anybody got some info on who rebuilds brake boosters?
