I have purchased and received the dash kit from Madera Concepts. Everything looks pretty straight forward except the installation of the piece to the left of the steering column. I have an early car but it has the stuck on veneer to a metal plate. Do I adhere the new wood to the metal plate? If I do this, how do I get the bottom molding to line up correctly as it has now been pushed out about 1/4 inch? Can I assume that the clock trim piece is glued also to the metal plate? If glue is used, what is the correct type?
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
