Early '74 MKII 4-speed. Where can I get a new boot for the shifter that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Mine has a small hole in it that is sure to get bigger!

Making that piece should not be that difficult; if you take it out & "rip" the seam, you will have a nice pattern and then you can choose from color and materials..
If that is too seems too difficult, I'm sure I have a good used one, but I will need to check

I got mine from Martin Robey. Shipping on a small item like that will be surprisingly reasonable. The shift gaiter is approximately $30 US.

Contrast that to large items - my replacement fuel tank shipping was over $250 US. Yikes!
