I am changing from the stock steering wheel to a 13". Since they come flat and dished, those of you that have switched, what did you pick and would you have chosen the other after living with it for a while?

The stock wheel just feels too big to me and from my trial fit with a round circle, a 13" would be better.

Thanks,
Art

Hey Art, I went with a smaller 13" with a 2" dish, and love it.

If you have long legs, I would chouse a dish wheel, gifs a bit more leg room.

I took an old JH wheel and turned it down until I had a hub...then I drilled it to match a 2.5 spacer and the used a 13 inch Grant that is flat on the bottom...makes getting in and out easier, too. Works just great.

Art,

With the light steering of the J-H you shouldn't have any problem with 13" and I'd go with the dished.

I went 13" and it's all good, this one is a moto-lita knockoff. Also had to make a hub for it.

My previous wheel was a 13.5" lecarra with a pretty heavy leather padded wrap. It was nice because the vibrations were somewhat reduced (the smaller the wheel the harder you feel any feedback) but it was almost too soft.

The wood wheel gives everything a really harsh feel but the feedback is excellent, you can judge almost any road surface off of it. Every pebble.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I found a 13" wheel on Amazon that should work.
