Hi I'm about to put the windshield back on my JH after many years. The problem? The original screen has scratch marks from the wipers. My original plan was to try to polish them out - but this isn't working that well. The reason for trying this was to avoid the hassle of taking the glass out of the frame. I'm now thinking that I will have to change the glass. I've had a go at removing the screws holding the stainless part of the frame but can't get any to move. Has anyone any advice or guidance that they can give me to help me change the glass? Cheers Mike |

I had to use a "screw knocker". It is a impact head with a handle on it that accepts a phillips (or any other) bit. You place it in an air chisel and, with light use of the trigger, back those puppies out. |

I hadn't thought of an impact driver. Could be a good idea as the glass is damaged anyway Thanks Mike |
