My 1974 JH engine has seized. I either need to have it rebuilt or have a new engine installed. I am in Wyoming. Does anyone know where I can get it rebuilt or a western US place to obtain a replacement |

I’m a little south of Denver, have a MK 1 (‘73) sitting in the garage. Was running well when removed, if a bit tired. Good oil pressure; should have the timing belt replaced. Free if you want to come get it. |

Yes, I will come get it. How heavy is it? I can come this week whenever it fits your schedule as I have an old professor who lives in Aurora that I want to visit, now that I have vaccine! I can be reached at 520-548-1896. I will need address and best time to come. Les Durland |

Puck, That's really nice of Dakota, I think I'd hop in my pickup drive down and pick it up, you won't find a better offer than that. Should be fairly easy to do, as far as engines go the 907 is a real lightweight, two guys can horse that thing around with no problem. |

Terrific, I’ll send you a text! Weight is ~300 lbs or so - -4-spd is attached, yours if you want it, but seeing as you have a ‘74, probably a 5-spd so not much use to you. |

Puck: you may want to rethink this; if the engine is a '73, that means no rear crank seal(has a "leaky" rope seal), different gaskets for the oil pan, and "Y" tube on the side for drainage & filling(can get broken/bent/etc. on speed bumps) If that engine is the later style(ribbed oil pan as opposed to no ribs) then go for it. Otherwise, you'd be better off finding a later style engine(I have gotten rid of most of the '73 engines for the above reasons) good luck, bruce |

Redracer - It was one of the old ones, engine B7208 0421 so very old. Mine is engine 57239 Most of salvageable parts gone so little I could use. So back to square one. |
