The Jensen Healey is listed and briefly discussed in the premeire issue of Hemmings new "Sports and Exotic Car" magazine.  The article is titled 20 Great Sports Cars for Under $15K  with a nice picture of a red JH.  Claims they are ugly, but good sports car performance.  It goes on to note that they were so expensive that they did not sell well and brought about the end of Jensen Motors.  It also gives a current price range of $4-7,000.

Anyone who thinks Jensen Healeys are ugly probably thinks the Aztec and Citroen 2CV are beautiful.

Regarding 'ugly,' let's compare apples to apples and look at a few other 'new' sports cars of the 70's: Triumph Stag, TR7, Volkswagon 914 (sold in the U.S. as a Porsche). None of these are exactly works of art. For that matter, not everyone agreed with the front of the 240Z. True, the JH is plain at best. However, seen in context, well, they really ARE plain at best! My opinion is that all these many years later, the JH mostly looks dated. Enjoy!
