15371 was just painted Malaga Blue this week (it used to be yellow). Its still in the paint shop, will get it back Monday. Bought the car in 1986 as salvage after an engine fire. After 22 years finally making some progress on it. Gary.

Well, I was trying to insert an image of it here, but cant figure it out. Check the link below to the photo gallery.

Gary,

Looks great!!! The paint is awesome. The paint codes would be great as I need a repaint and can't find anyone who has the codes.

Is there no cross reference to the part #'s for the colour codes in the Parts Catalog?

e.g. Blue (Malaga) Jensen # 97021 Supplier #LSC 31032

I'm getting the paint code information from the paint shop. Should have it in a day or two. They used PPG paint and in the PPG catalog for Jensen the code for Malaga blue is 14926. However that is the code for the color in Lacquer which is no longer available. They needed to cross reference this to a modern paint. They used PPG DBC base coat and PPG DCU clear coat. So it is a base-clear paint job which is not original, but will hold up much better. Gary

What, you're not using the original paint? Just kidding, of course. Paint technology has changed so much just in the last 10 years, it's not even funny. Your paint is most likely 1,000 times better than the original, gummy, horrible rubbish they sprayed on the cars at the factory.

OK, I finally have the PPG formulation for Malaga Blue, PPG code 14926. If you show this to your paint shop they should be able to mix some up for you. This is for PPG's two stage paint system, with DBC being the base color coat.

Mixing Scheme: DELTRON 2000 (DBC)
Makes 1 US Quart

SKU                      Description            Cum. (part)

DMD1684             WHITE                 145.1
DMD1675             BLUE                    844.1
DMD1693             GREEN                 1005.1
DMD1683             BLACK                 1051.5

For the clear coat, the paint shop used PPG Concept 2002 DCU.
