In my street driven J-H it's mounted sideways at the rear of the parcel shelf, easily grabbed by either driver or passenger. I used the plastic bracket that came with it. In my Spitfire Solo 1 car, it's mounted sideways at the rear of the passenger footwell, roughly even with the shifter. That way I can get to it easily with 5 point belts on.
