I am currently in the process of installing some 107 cams in place of base cams.. I noticed when disassembling the originals from the cam housings, that the gears had some sort of sealer on the end where the cam gear bolts run thru.. Is that a potential leak path or something else?? Certainly did not look like loctite for the bolt, in fact it was more like RTV or something... Anyway, what is everyone else doing when installing cams and the cam bolts? Also, what is the best pre lube to use on the bearing surfaces when assembling? Thanks in advance for any input.
