Didn't get that far - sold those things off before that!!!! That is a lot of weight. With those square bumpers one is adding around 100lbs of weight to a car that only weighs around 2200lbs. Not only that, you are adding it in basically the two worst places you could - outside of sticking 100lbs vertically on a 5 ft pole and welding the pole in the center of the car with the weight at the top. I'd daresay a "old bumpered" JH will do better with respect to handling than a square bumpered car, all other things being equal. I was amazed at the weight. I assume many cars of that area were similarly affected - I know the TR7/TR8 was with some huge bumpers, and I would imagine other low volume British cars as well. Ron
