Tim. Not sure if you are still checking in from time to time. More YeloDog news. Previously it was a body rebuild, head off as it was leaking coolant, paint and a new exhaust with silencer. Following that engine adjustment I always felt that the car was still too noisy, too smokey, not burning fuel correctly and the gearbox was simply uncomfortable. So.....Just finished replacing the Weber 45s with the Jenvey 40 electronic fuel injection and swapping out the Getrag 5-speed for a 6-speed Lexus R160 box with hydraulic clutch. Gear changes are now a joy! Internally updated the cockpit with leather seats, leather centre console, leather visors and leather door cards. Why......I sold Red Sloth. Yet to be done is carpet the trunk, update the decals around the heater and silver trim around the dials, a new mohair/canvas roof and finally the vinyl Jensen Healey along the sills. The comment from the tuner was that the carbs would be good for 230/240HP (which is what Pete documented the last time he visited the Dyno. The current setup is If the link works, hear the car on the Dyno....music. And if course I doubt that I'll ever pass 4000 rpm but it's been a journey, a journey that start back in 73 when a Mr Lind bought the car new and 10 years later sold it to Pete Bahr... https://photos.app.goo.gl/HxSLZtvtTRMs9fUH6
