You need to remove the steering wheel, then the 4 cross point screws(#2) holding the aluminum bearing.
Then loosen the upper steering shaft U-joint(just in front of the firewall) so you can pull the collapsible shaft up through the interior compartment.
While you have this out, it would be a good idea to redo the nylon upper shaft "break" pins, since they are likely already broken(use the SEARCH box in the JHPS site forthis)
