Puck: you may want to rethink this; if the engine is a '73, that means no rear crank seal(has a "leaky" rope seal), different gaskets for the oil pan, and "Y" tube on the side for drainage & filling(can get broken/bent/etc. on speed bumps)
If that engine is the later style(ribbed oil pan as opposed to no ribs) then go for it. Otherwise, you'd be better off finding a later style engine(I have gotten rid of most of the '73 engines for the above reasons)
