I noticed that the bearing plate (washer) which secures the crankshaft pully to the crankshaft is bent in. When I checked whether the shaft was flush with the outter edge of the pully I noticed that the shaft was recessed about 1/8". So when the nut is tighten it only presses up on the outter edge of the hole rather than the bearing surface (see photos attached). Photo1 - the bearing plate (washer). Is this the way it is suppose to be; It doesn't seem right. Should there be a shim between the cranckshaft and the outter edge of the pully so the bearing plate doesn't bend inward or is it a matter of someone just overtightening? Any help would be appriciated, Angelo Attachment: pullley1.jpg (Downloaded 140 times)
